Children:
Soda Linked to Aggression, Inattention in Kids

Consumption of even one soft drink per day may be associated with increased negative behavior in young children, a new research suggests. A cohort study of almost 3000 5-year-olds showed that those who drank 1 to 4 servings of soda per day had significantly higher aggressive measurement scores than their peers who drank no soda. In addition, those who consumed 2 or more servings had higher withdrawn behavior scores, and those who consumed 4 or more servings had higher attention problem scores.

Pregnancy:
Pre-pregnancy Diet Linked To Birth Defects

Women with high quality diets during the year before pregnancy were at lower risk than were those with poor diets for delivering a baby with cleft lip or palate and brain and spinal cord abnormalities. Interestingly the recommendation to take folic acid supplements before conception did not reduce the risks. This suggests that overall diet quality is more predictive of birth defect risk than intake if a single nutrient.

Pregnancy:
Vitamin D Deficiency Linked With Diabetes In Pregnancy

At the annual meeting of the European association for diabetes a study involving 655 pregnant women indicate that low vitamin d levels in the first trimester are linked with a significantly increased risk for the development of diabetes in pregnancy. Researchers recognize that vitamin D plays a role in insulin resistance and that optimizing vitamin D levels may be an important step toward reducing the risk of developing diabetes in pregnancy.

Woman's Health Magazine:

MYTH! Staying on the Pill too long decreases your chances of getting pregnant later...
"As soon as the Pill is purged from your body, you'll be able to conceive just as easily as someone who never took an oral contraceptive," says Anita Sadaty, M.D., attending physician in obstetrics and gynecology at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York.

Dr. Sadaty In Parents Magazine:

Expecting In Cold Weather
During pregnancy your center of gravity shifts, which increases your risk of falling — especially on icy sidewalks. To help avoid taking a spill, Dr. Sadaty advises wearing flat, rubber-soled footwear with a tread (avoid leather-soled shoes, which are especially slippery). Hold on to handrails whenever they're available, and try not to carry anything in front of you, which throws o! your balance and occupies your hands, making it more di"cult to cushion a fall.

Femilift Long Island NY

Femilift is a nonsurgical laser procedures that treat the mucosa (internal pink skin) of the vaginal canal to contract the vaginal lining, as well as stimulate moisture.

Childbirth, hormonal changes that accompany aging and severe weight fluctuations can overstretch vaginal tissue, damage collagen and alter the muscle tone in the vaginal wall. These anatomical changes often lead to symptoms such as vaginal laxity, vaginal atrophy and involuntary bladder leakage. These feminine health conditions can negatively affect women's quality of life and often prevent them from enjoying a normal lifestyle. FemiLift uses a laser to heat the mucosal tissue of the vagina at a superficial level, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, and giving the patient a tighter, firmer vagina.
